Mount Nogum neighbourhood, Sanaa, Yemen. The remnant of one of the weapons that struck civilian areas in Mount Nogum after a weapons depot was hit by a Saudi-led coalition air strike on 11 May causing at least some of the weapons there to launch.
In May 2015, an Amnesty International Crisis Response Researcher visited Yemen to investigate the impact on civilians of air strikes carried out by the Saudi led coalition. In March 2015, a coalition of countries led by Saudi Arabia launched airstrikes against the Houthis and allied military units loyal to former President Ali Abdullah Saleh in Yemen.
