Denmark’s biggest postcard (#Danmarksstørstepostkort) to the king of Morocco was a Stop Torture campaign action organized by AI Denmark, its activists and youth groups on 07 August 2015. The postcard measures 480 sqm (16 x 30 meters) in total and consists of 48 smaller pieces (2x5 meters). These 48 pieces had been sent out to approximately 40 groups around the country together with posters and regular sized postcards with facts about the situation in Morocco, and ‘Stop Torture stamp’ stickers. The groups then had a month to collect greetings / signatures on their pieces. The pieces were then returned to AI Denmark, in collaboration with the Danish postal service which paid for the postage, and a major event was carried out in Copenhagen where activists were invited to help compile the postcard. |
