This morning, activists and refugees from across Europe joined together on the Greek Island of Lesvos to be part of a symbolic action denouncing the very real human consequences of European political decisions like the EU-Turkey Deal, which are trapping refugees in appalling conditions.
The protest involved 60 refugees, activists and people from Lesvos simulating arrivals on the beach and trapped in fisherman’s net painted as the EU flag, symbolising the plight of refugees and islanders who both feel caught in the net of the EU-Turkey deal.
